We would like every customer to be a happy customer and we try hard to make that happen. Here are some of the many comments we have received from our customers:
"In 2005 I installed your 4 cyl EGT and CHT instrumentation to monitor
my new Aerosport 0-360 in my RV-8. Your instruments have worked
flawlessly ever since and provide real understanding of whats going on
up there all the time. The peace-of-mind that results was worth many
times more than what I paid for them. Well done. Thanks!" - GB
"Just a note to say how pleased I am with your product - what a great
form factor and display - Easy and straight forward installation - just
WOW." - MR
"I had a bad plug recently that only seemed to indicate it's defect
between 1900 and 2200 rpm (similar miss thing you described). I was able
to tell the mechanic #2 cylinder and under which conditions I observed
the oddly lower EGT from the other 3. That focused his attention and
troubleshooting to the mis-behaving cylinder."
"I do have to tell you that your have the best product on the market. Great design. Makes any aircraft brand new!" - VA
"The CHT monitoring especially was brilliant for sorting out the baffles
over the rear cylinders to get the cooling right. The Aerospace Logic
displays are small, tidy and easy to read." - GV
"Awesome addition to my plane - thanks for the clean ez look." - MS
"Since then, I installed the XX Fuel Flow gauge and for the past several
flights I have compared the fuel remaining to what is indicated in both
tanks and the NUMBERS MATCH. This proves that the gauge is super
reliable." - PL
"I decided to install four of their units to replace the PA28-140
cluster: Fuel Gauge, EGT, Oil Pressure and Temp, Fuel Pressure and Amp.
All units have been performing flawlessly. Particularly the Dual Fuel Gauge is very
impressive: precise to one gallon: I had the unfortunate occasion to try it!" - WK
"I installed Aerospace Logic's oil temp/pressure gauge a year ago and
have been really happy with it. Now I plan to install their fuel level
indicator and voltage/amp gauge this spring." - SD

Cirrus Fuel Level Instrument in Flight Video
Here is the YouTube Video link to a short video with our FL202G installed in a Cirrus.
Note the FL202G is more accurate than the flight deck instrumentation!
For more information on this video and additional comments please see the CiES Inc. blog.

Customer Feedback - Cirrus Retrofit
Folks I just picked up the plane this evening from Advanced Aviation in Lancaster PA.
Joel Glover and his team did an outstanding job installing the new CIES digital fuel sensors despite a steep learning curve on this first ever install.
The next one (an SR 20 was already in the shop) should go a lot faster as the first is always the hardest.
I had a chance to run the system through its paces on the short hop from KNLS to KMMU this evening. I must say my first impression is WOW ! A huge improvement.
I love having the fuel flow quantity on the MFD now, but the icing on the cake is the redundancy with the new digital fuel guage that replaces the former analog version.
Really cool looking, but more important is the functionality. I really like how you can flip between fuel quantity and the fuel burn graph, really helpful for fuel balance. The CIES team even made sure it dims with the instrument dimmer.
I will get some more time this weekend (during the daylight) to run it through its paces, but I would HIGHLY recommend this a must have upgrade to your Cirrus.

Instrument Intensity Control
Our original 100 Series products used an "External" and an "Internal" method of controlling instrument intensity. This has worked well over the years. With the advent of the glass cockpit and our new 200 Series product we have moved away from the original method of intensity control. This has been our number one cause of install related issues and effective JAN-2013 we have changed the control in an effort to simplify things.
Revision 1 of the 200 Series uses a very simple intensity control. Either our A200-DDC Intensity Controller was used or, as in most cases, a "Day/Night" switch with two current limiting resistors. Our thinking was simple; during install the installer would select the appropriate current limit resistor pair and place them in-line with the power line to the LCD backlight. The process was extremely simple.
What we did not consider was the general lack of concern for installation instructions, no matter how simple. It became common practice to connect the instrument directly to the aircraft rheostat, even though this was not an option. When this was done (or any other option not part of the installation instructions) the LCD backlight was destroyed. Cost the the customer/installer was $185-$225, depending on the damage.
Naturally this did not go down well. Even though the source of the problem was the installers complete disregard for our approved instructions. Our original thinking was to keep things as simple as possible and, in doing so, to keep costs down. After just over two years of manufacturing the 200 Series products we elected to change the system. The effect of the change was that the instruments could now be connected directly to the panel rheostat or to a separate potentiometer; all much the same as our original 100 Series design. The cost impact was and additional $20 to cover the cost of components.
Amongst others, the biggest positive is that now the product cannot be destroyed should the installer fail to follow the instructions. call it a $20 insurance policy. Other than that, the units will perform exactly the same as if they were installed with our original A200-DDC Intensity Controller.
Effective JAN-2013 we no longer manufacture the Rev 1 products with the exception of warranty replacement units.

The Beginning
There is a start to everything, this is it for our blog. Probably something we should have done a long time ago but that cannot be changed.
It is amazing at how much effect the Internet has on a business and how things have changed in a few short years. Thirteen years ago, when we first started design on our initial 100 Series products the Internet was a supplement to business. Nowadays it is a necessity.
For us the purpose of this is simple. Communication with our customers.
